HowdyMy SASS cowboy friends know me as Lefty Wheeler and many of them have trusted me to work on and build their competition rifles. In my younger days I was a tool and die maker before spending many years working in quality control for General Motors. In the early 90's I moved on from GM and started my own company doing dimensional inspection. I sold that company and retired in 2008, giving me more time to practice my shooting skills.
In 2009 I started doing some gunsmithing on my own Uberti 1873 and found several ways to improve the mechanics of it. After that gun I worked on my kids' rifles to get those guns running smoother. Then a couple friends needed some help fixing their broken guns, and after that I figured I'd better get my FFL and start a gunsmithing business so I could charge for my services!
